About me

Hello I’m Sarah, a BACP accredited and registered person-centred counsellor with more than 20 years experience working one to one with adults of all ages.

 

Working with a warm and trustworthy therapist, who brings long experience and an open willingness to be alongside you, offering a safely held, confidential space, creates the possibility for positive change.

I invite you into this compassionate space where we work towards your greater self-understanding and development of resilience and self-worth. Together we will gently uncover what you need to be able to live in a more fulfilled, meaningful and pleasurable way.

I have considerable interest and experience working with trauma and developmental disruptions such as shame and low self-esteem and problems in relationships.  I’m also an experienced and sensitive bereavement counsellor.

 

We work together collaboratively and holistically, attending carefully to your unique experiencing, to better understand yourself and healing needs.  We can work in an embodied way, creatively, or simply talking as feels most suited to your needs.

Training, Qualifications and Experience

I initially trained at The Metanoia Institute, a BACP accredited course in person-centred counselling, qualifying in 2004.

Further training has focused on bereavement and grief work, trauma informed practice, developmental issues and embodied awareness.
