About Me
Hello I'm Sarah, I am a compassionate and experienced therapist who works relationally from an existential and body-oriented/somatic perspective, exploring what matters to you currently. I will create a bespoke programme for you, depending on your individual needs and desired outcome. My approach is collaborative and down to earth, being truly emotionally present with you and the work we are doing together, as well as facilitative and direct to help you identify specific patterns and dysregulation.
The therapeutic relationship is at the heart of my work and I aim to create a safe environment in which you feel secure and able to explore thoughts, feelings and behaviours. I want our work together to be effective and I believe that change is possible when one can truly accept oneself for who they are. I see the whole person, that of mind, body and spirit and work in a non-judgmental way to help you gain further insight into any challenges you might face. I also work part-time as a Group Therapist in an Ofsted-rated Outstanding Secondary school where I run an Emotional Wellbeing Programme for teenagers and have a lot of experience working with neurodivergence.
I love nature and the outdoors, having grown up in the countryside and spent a lot of my childhood in the woods or on horseback. I believe the natural world is an integral part of our lives and a great support for our mental health and well-being. I am also a lover of water and passionate about outdoor swimming and saunas. I believe fluidity is an essential component in building resilience and embracing modern life.
I come from a creative background and I am fascinated by the mind-body connection and psychophysical unity. I have a particular interest in working with the nervous system and believe a lot of modern society, our schools and workplaces are dysregulating. I help people slow down and gain more present-moment awareness, finding a moment of quiet in a world full of noise.

Fees
I understand that starting therapy can feel a bit daunting so I offer a free 20 minute telephone consultation to see if you feel that I am the right therapist for you. Please email me to arrange this or to ask any questions you might have.
After this phone call consultation we would arrange an initial in person session to discuss your needs and what you are hoping to get out of our work together. There is no obligation to continue after this, however if you decide to, we would arrange to meet at the same time each week either online or in person.
Sessions are £70 for a 50-minute session, payable by BACS transfer on the day before the appointment.
