About Me
I’m Cerrie, and I offer counselling for autistic, ADHD and dyslexic adults.
You might be used to holding things together on the outside, while underneath it feels overwhelming, exhausting, or hard to make sense of. You may have spent a long time adapting, masking, or trying to fit into spaces that don’t quite feel right for you.
You don’t have to do that here.
I offer a calm, thoughtful space where you can begin to slow things down and gently explore what’s going on for you, at your own pace.
Clients often tell me how much they value having a space where they feel understood, where they don’t have to explain their neurodivergence or justify their experiences. That matters to me.
I am neurodivergent myself, and I’m open about that. My understanding comes not only from my training and experience, but from living it too. For many people, that means they can finally talk without needing to over-explain, or worry about being misunderstood.
At the same time, I don’t assume I know your experience. You are the expert on yourself. A big part of what I do is take the time to really understand you, how things feel for you, what you need, and what support looks like in a way that actually fits.
This isn’t about fixing you or telling you what to do. It’s about creating a space where you can be heard properly, maybe for the first time, without needing to filter or change what you’re saying.
I’m naturally quite creative and tend to think outside the box, which helps me sit alongside you in a way that is open, curious, and free from judgement.
Some people come with something very clear they want to talk about. Others just know something doesn’t feel right. However you arrive is okay.
I offer a warm, steady space where you don’t have to mask, perform, or get it “right.” Just somewhere you can begin to be yourself, or even start to discover who that is.
I offer both short-term and long-term counselling.
You don’t have to carry this on your own anymore.
Qualification, Experience & Background
I hold a BSc (Hons) in Person-Centred Counselling and a Foundation Degree in Person-Centred Counselling. I am a registered member of the BACP and work in accordance with their Ethical Framework. I engage in regular clinical supervision to support safe, ethical and reflective practice.
My core training is in person-centred counselling, alongside previous training in psychotherapeutic counselling, hypnotherapy and Emotional Freedom Techniques (EFT), which inform my understanding of how people experience and process emotions in different ways.
I am committed to ongoing professional development. Recent CPD includes:
• Safeguarding (Adults)
• Living and Working with Neurodivergence
• ADHD, RSD & Women: A Psychiatrist’s Guide to Building Resilience
• ADHD, Autism and Relationships Summit
• The Science of ADHD for Therapists & Coaches
• Exploring Chemsex – Realities, Stories and Reflections
• HIV Talk: Insights from Therapeutic Work with People Living with or Affected by HIV.
I have experience working with adults in both private practice and organisational settings, supporting clients with anxiety, burnout, relationship challenges and identity exploration, particularly where these intersect with neurodivergence.
I continue to deepen my knowledge in neuro-affirming practice, including areas such as masking, sensory processing differences, and adapting therapy to meet different communication and processing styles.
