BA (hons), FdSc, MBACP Counsellor
Hello, my name is Andrew. I am a qualified Person-Centred Counsellor. Thank you for taking the time to read my profile.
I started my journey towards becoming a counsellor back in 2009 when I studied Person Centred Counselling at the University of Brighton. I loved it so much that I went on to do a BA Honours Counselling course at the University of Greenwich, which covered various different modalities across the counselling spectrum. The whole experience of becoming a counsellor has been life changing, and I am extremely passionate about providing clients with a safe space, as well as a supportive therapeutic relationship.
I am fully insured and I abide by the ethical code of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP), of which I am a registered member of.
Who I work with
Adults and young carers.
Training, Qualifications and Experience
My qualifications include a BA Honours degree in Counselling and a Foundation degree in Person-Centred Counselling.
In private practice I create a versatile and person-centred environment, where I can offer support in an empathetic, congruent and non-judgemental way.
I can use a number of different approaches in helping a client with anxiety, depression, addiction, as I appreciate that the emotional requirements vary dramatically from one client to the next, so aim to help equip the client with practical techniques to allow them to make their daily lives more manageable.
