About me

Hello, I am empathic, attentive and curious about you and what brings you to therapy.

I offer you the opportunity to talk about your thoughts and feelings in a safe and confidential setting, either in person in Hove or online.

As a qualified Integrative psychotherapist, I offer long and short term psychotherapy to adults. I have additional qualifications in using the Arts in the therapeutic space, if this is something you would like to engage with.

Training, Qualifications and Experience

  • Post Graduate Diploma in Integrative Psychotherapy

  • Certificate in the Therapeutic Application of the Arts in Therapy and Education

  • Diploma in nursing (RGN)

  • Mindfulness course

  • The Decider Life Skills

  • Enhanced DBS checked

As a qualified nurse with over 25 years experience, mainly in an Emergency setting, I have had the privilege of witnessing all stages of life, from before birth until after death. This has enabled me to gain a deep insight into the psychological and emotional experience of being human, often in response to unexpected physical injury or illness.

I have come to believe that we cannot hope to separate psyche (mind) from soma (body) if we are to lead truly healthy lives. My belief in the importance of integration influenced my decision to explore the path of becoming an integrative psychotherapist. An integrative approach allows for a dynamic and flexible way of working, drawing on various different therapeutic models so that the therapy can be tailored to suit the clients individual needs, rather than there being a “one size fits all” approach.

Who I work with

I can provide help to men and women experiencing a range of issues including anxiety, depression, trauma, attachment issues, life transitions, single and step-parenting, and the psychological and emotional impact of the menopause on women and their families (a long neglected issue).

Areas of therapy

I have worked with clients with the presenting issues listed above.

Type of sessions offered

Sessions are face to face and last for 50 minutes (usually weekly).

My fees:

£60 per 50 minute session.

I offer a free 30 minute introductory telephone assessment so that you can tell me what issues bring you to therapy and to enable us to decide if we would like to work together.
